Pay more tax to work from home, says Deutsche Bank

All those workers will conserve money on vacation, lunch and socialising, the economists said, while also contributing much less to the infrastructure of the economic system.

“That is a big challenge for the economic system as it has taken decades and generations to establish up the wider organization and financial infrastructure that supports face-to-face working,” the report said.

The strategy is that employers would pay back the levy if they don’t present workers with a desk, whereas if the employee chooses to get the job done from house they would be taxed for every day they did so.

In the US, the strategists argue that the tax could pay back for a $one, five hundred grant to the 29m workers who receive below $30,000 a year and are unable to get the job done from house.
