Andrew Neil quits GB News after just eight shows

Insiders claimed Mr Neil’s exit from GB News could pave the way for him to appear as commentator for rival broadcasters. Resources claimed he was now booked to appear as a panellist on BBC One’s Concern Time on Thursday night. 

Tom Harrington, an analyst at Enders Investigation, claimed he now envisioned GB News to sharpen its emphasis on correct-leaning journalism in a bid to shore up its viewers figures. 

“[The go to the correct] is now taking place. The visitor they are bringing on air, and the reality Andrew Neil has still left is a reaction to that. 

“Right now, there are likely 20,000 or 30,000 people today watching it, which is nothing. That is why they have to go toward an excessive to have some sort of effects and continue to be talked about.

“Because the additional you go into the centre, the additional you appear up from the BBC, ITV and Sky News, which chronicle information and have outstanding output budgets.”

In an e mail announcing the departure to workers, Mr Frangopoulos claimed Mr Neil had signed a multi-year deal and the corporation hoped he would keep longer. 

“Andrew helped set our tone, our intent, even our launch date,” he included. “He has been integral to each major programming and using the services of conclusion.”

In its formal assertion, GB News claimed: “Andrew is without question a person of the greatest journalists and interviewers in this state.

“GB News thanks him for his 12 months of leadership, wisdom and advice and we would like him effectively.”
