Coronavirus Threatens Detroit’s Pipeline of Canadian Nurses

TORONTO—For yrs, some one,600 nurses from Windsor, Ontario, have commuted everyday throughout the border to do the job in Detroit’s health-treatment procedure, filling a nursing scarcity in the Michigan town.

Now the nurses are at the centre of a heated dispute involving Canada and the U.S., as Canadian officials on Friday threatened to halt the essential health-treatment workers from crossing the Detroit River if the U.S. moves to avert St. Paul, Minn.-centered 3M Co. from exporting masks to Canada.
