Finger turmeric price improves – The Hindu BusinessLine

The price tag of the finger turmeric selection was increased on Thursday.

R.K.V. Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association explained: “After handful of days, good high quality finger turmeric amongst the medium selection was arrived in two marketplaces and the traders right after analyzing the samples, quoted increased price tag.”

“At the Regulated Promoting Committee the some luggage of finger turmeric price tag increased by ₹500 a quintal and ₹390 a quintal at the Erode Cooperative Promoting Culture, when when compared to prior day described price tag. Only handful of luggage have fetched such increased price tag. In other marketplaces there was no boost in finger turmeric price tag and also root selection in all the marketplaces,” he additional.

Ravishankar explained there is no improvement in the price tag of turmeric at the Turmeric Futures. The traders are waiting around for contemporary upcountry demand from customers, as they are now obtaining demand from customers from locals and also from turmeric powder grinding units.

At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales Yard, finger turmeric was marketed at ₹5,456 to ₹6,288 quintal, root selection was marketed at ₹4,569 to ₹5,609 a quintal. Out of 1,349 luggage of turmeric that arrived only 559 have been marketed.

At the Regulated Promoting Committee the finger turmeric was marketed at ₹5,679 to ₹6,729 a quintal, root selection was marketed at ₹4,625 to ₹5,799 a quintal. Of the 827 luggage of turmeric positioned for sale, 733 luggage have been marketed.

At the Erode Cooperative Promoting Culture, the finger turmeric was marketed at ₹5,679 to ₹6,459 a quintal, the root selection was marketed at ₹4,821 to ₹5,759 a quintal. Out of 759 luggage, only 677 luggage have been marketed.
