Govt approves Rs 12,450-cr capital infusion in 3 state-run general insurers

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday accredited money infusion of Rs twelve,450 crore in a few point out-owned typical insurance coverage firms to improve their money base and make them extra secure.

The Countrywide Insurance plan Enterprise, Oriental Insurance plan Enterprise and United Insurance plan Enterprise will get the further money, Details and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar informed reporters right after the cupboard conference.

“Cabinet approves money infusion of Rs twelve,450 crore for a few community sector typical insurance coverage firms – Oriental Insurance plan Enterprise Limited, Countrywide Insurance plan Enterprise Limited and United India Insurance plan Enterprise Limited (such as Rs 2,500 crore infused in FY2019-20),” an official spokesperson explained in a tweet.
