Govt has ended federalism; makes no pretence to be democratic: Sonia

Congress president Sonia Gandhi criticised on Friday the government’s managing of the Covid-19 pandemic, alleging it experienced overlooked the “spirit of federalism” and abandoned any pretence of becoming democratic.

Addressing a meeting of opposition functions convened to focus on the plight of migrants owing to the lockdown, she alleged that the federal government is unsure about the requirements for lockdowns and has no exit system.

 

Gandhi mentioned the migrants and thirteen crore families in the base fifty percent of the populace have been cruelly dismissed by the federal government.

“The prime minister’s grand Rs twenty trillion deal has turned out to be a cruel joke on place,” she mentioned.
