Japan Edges Toward Military Pre-emptive Strike Option

TOKYO—Ruling-celebration lawmakers are pushing for Japan’s military to have the skill to strike foreign missile-start websites to enhance deterrence from probable attacks from North Korea and China.

A proposal unveiled Friday by the Liberal Democratic Party’s defense policy committee is established to be a new test of Japan’s pacifist constitution less than Key Minister Shinzo Abe, who has sought to loosen constraints on the military in response to mounting issues from Beijing and Pyongyang in the latest years.
