No restriction in filling up govt posts, says FinMin after notification

The central government’s “typical recruitments” will continue on with out any curbs and there is no restriction on filling up posts, claimed the Finance Ministry on Saturday following a statement yesterday referred to as for curbing expenditure in view of the coronavirus pandemic’s effect on the overall economy.

“The Dept. of Expenditure circular dated 04 Sept 2020 promotions with inside method for generation of posts and does NOT in anyway impact or curtail recruitment,” claimed the ministry in a statement.

“Normal recruitments via govt agencies like Workers Variety Commission, UPSC, Rlwy Recruitment Board, and so forth will continue on as common with out any curbs,” it claimed.

The expenditure division claimed in a memorandum Friday: “There will be a ban on generation of new posts, except with the acceptance of the division of expenditure, in the ministries/departments, connected places of work, subordinate places of work, statutory bodies and autonomous bodies.”

Any posts made following July one with out the acceptance of the expenditure division will continue being vacant if they haven’t however been filled, the memorandum claimed.

The Finance Ministry’s statement follows criticism of the Friday circular. The Congress on Saturday demanded that the federal government withdraw the circular, and urged it to create far more vacancies although filling the current ones in the wake of the alleged increase in unemployment.
